  1. I am looking for more information on William Goff b 1814/1815 Ga. son of Lewis Goff b1786 NC and Nancy. My William Goff married Mary Jane Raiford Apr 21 1840 in Mobile Co, Al. He is in the Mobile Al, 1850 census with Jane and their 4 sons. In Mobile, Al 1860 census William is gone and Jane is shown with the 4 boys, but there is another William Goff b 1815 Al in this census with a wife Martha-age 36 b. MS, John W- age 10 b.MS, Elizabeth- age 8 b. MS, Mary-age 7 b. MS, Harriet-age 5 b.MS. I cannot find either William in 1870. Several years ago I started tracing the lines of Lewis and Nancy's other children and in the 1880 Jackson Co, MS Census I find, William Goff b. 1814 Ga, Isaac N Goff b.1864 MS, and Louis Goff b.1860 MS living with L.R. Roberts (Lyman Randall Roberts nephew of William). The two boys in the 1880 census are Isaac Newton Goff and Louis Lyman Goff. In searching for a connection, I have found that Isaac Newton Goff, Louis Lyman Goff, Theodore "Bick" Victor Goff, and P Evelina Goff Havens are brothers and sister. Evelina Goff Havens death certificate lists he parents as William Goff and Martha Canty. If ANYONE is researching any of the 3 groups listed for William b 1814/1815 Ga, Al, MS I would LOVE to share and discuss this line with you. My email address is Dixie-darlin@hotmail.com. I have a public tree on Ancestry - GOFF/VAUGHN if you would care to compare notes. Thank You Cindy Walter
